Mexico already has many fun strategies, but here’s one more to catch your opponent completely off guard with Imperial Texian Marines!
Video is slightly different to this write up that I enhanced.
Age I: 15 vill TP start
-Gather all except your coin crate and kill one starting hunt, send explorer to build closest Trade Post.
-All vills to wood to chop for house, any vills trained can be sent to Hunt.
-Once your house is built send all vills to hunts.
First card: Alhóndiga de Granaditas (1 Hacienda, 2 vills).
-AGE UP: Tlaxcala (Michoacan if on water).
Second card: Independence Movements.
Transition Age I-II
-Send 8-10 vills to chop for market and hunting dogs upgrade.
-Send 8 to food, 7 to coin.
-Queue 2-3 vills.
Age 2: Getting ready to revolt
-Gather XP crates and send your age up military wagon to build a Saloon for the coin trickle (barracks or stable if you’re worried about pressure).
Third card: 700 wood
-Spread vills out evenly to wood/food/coin, gather up 700 wood to build a house.
-once you have 280 food/wood/coin revolt to Central America Central America: Going age 4,
Fourth card: Advanced Frontier Defense
-Keep vills evenly spread on wood/food/coin if you gather 1000 food move those vills to wood/coin.
-Build the Cathedral using your Padre, get the “State Religion” upgrade
-macro to 1000 food/wood/coin and return to Mexico.
Transition Revolt-Age IV
-Keep 6 vills on coin and send the rest to food/wood evenly
-build a few houses Age 4: Getting ready to Texas
-Upon aging gather up all the XP crates ASAP
Fifth card: Spanish Sympathizers or Renegade Apaches, depending on what units you may be facing.
Sixth card: Heavy cannons, more units, or if not under pressure ship Factory (factory or Porfiriato).
-Macro to 1350f, 800w, and 1350 coin.
Call out your militia from your Town Center and Revolt.
Texas Revolt: Getting ready to push
Seventh card: Texas Marines.
Eight Card: The Alamo.
-After Texas Marines is in, call out a levy of Marines from your Town Center.
-Once The Alamo is in, push your opponent, if you were producing vills whenever you could you should have had ~30, so when you push, you should have ~30 State Militia and 38 Imperial Texian Marines, as well as any other units you produced. This attack should finish him, especially if you sent 2 heavy cannons.
Ninth card: 2 Heavy Cannons, or 4 Culvs
